Taylor Simmons, Certified Usui System Reiki Master Teacher

Meet Taylor Simmons, she is an energy worker and Certified Usui System Reiki Master Teacher. In 2020 she had her first positive experience with reiki and felt inspired to become a practitioner herself. Later that same year she was granted her certificate. Taylor went on further to receive her second, advanced, and master teacher certification in early 2022.

Fueled by her love of helping people, and her connection to the energetic and metaphysical, Taylor uses reiki as a tool to assist with bringing balance to the mind, body, and spirit as part of a holistic complementary treatment.

When Taylor isn’t doing reiki and energy work she’s normally out with her two kiddos on an adventure, (weather permitting), learning about all things nature. She partakes in ethical wild-crafting, making tinctures, teas, and salves from said foraged finds. In the colder months, you can find her curled up  in her comfy chair with a hot cup of coffee and a good book, or asleep in her den.

Taylor provides Reiki at the Shawano location.

Shirlee Knox, AAS, SAC-IT

Meet Shirlee Knox, she is a Substance Abuse Counselor. She recently graduated from Nicolet Technical College in April 2024, earning her Associate of Science degree in Substance Abuse Counseling. Growing up amidst individuals grappling with addiction, she found her calling in assisting those in need. Prior to pursuing counseling, she dedicated over two decades to serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant until 2020, when the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a shift in her career trajectory. During this time, she collaborated with her husband in managing their jointly established company, which was founded in 1997.

Returning to academia in 2022, Shirlee embarked on fulfilling her childhood aspiration of becoming a counselor. Excelling academically, she consistently secured placement on the Dean's List throughout her two-year tenure and was honored as Student of the Year.

While Shirlee is not working, she enjoys taking walks with her dog and when summer is here, she enjoys swimming. She also enjoys gardening because "it grounds and relaxes me." She loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Shirlee provides AODA counseling at the Woodruff location.
